So it's officially my first journal entry in the world of deviantart and I have to say that, ironically, I'm actually at a loss for words... I guess I should preface this venture by explaining the purpose behind my account.

I'm a writer.

That's not entirely true, but it felt good to say anyway. In reality, I'm just your average English student. I read, I write, I hate what I read and write... It's all a part of who I am. Although I've devoured books my entire life, I've only *just* started to delve into writing, as frightening as it is. I don't aspire to be a writer per se, but a little discipline in that area is never a bad thing, right? So that brings me to deviantart.com. I need a place to post my ramblings and short stories, and I especially need people to give feedback so I don't feel completely insane and alone while I'm at it.
